Our world needs strong leaders
Just managing is not enough
Our Why
Our world is hungry for influential leaders with integrity and compassion.
Our world needs leaders who value people and who know and show in their actions that People Matter, Values Matters, Awareness Matters.
We are facing a world crisis with the lack of authentic, influential leaders. Governments and politicians are hungry for strong leadership. Schools are not producing the guidance needed for today’s changing business dynamics. Even our religious institutions require more authentic leaders.
For many years there was talk of the 7-pillars (or mountains) of influence on a city or nation. Healthcare is now clearly the eighth pillar of power. Each industry needs influential leaders who can embrace the new generation of evolving technology with the variability of world culture. Healthcare is now clearly the eighth pillar of influence.
The healthcare industry demonstrated its power and influence by halting the world – for several months – during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the Healthcare officials leading the shutdown. Indeed a confirmation of the power of the pillar of Healthcare.
The illustration below shows the eight pillars of influence in a city.
Healthcare is a huge influencer in our cities, as we have seen in 2020! Adding healthcare makes eight pillars, or mountains, of influence in a city, county, state, and country.
“The single biggest way to impact an organization is to focus on leadership development. There is almost no limit to the potential of an organization that recruits good people, raises them as leaders, and continually develops them.” – John C. Maxwell
Recognizing this global leadership gap enables us to embrace the opportunity to develop leaders. Organizations don’t transform: people do!
“Transformation begins with influence, and influence always flows from the top down, like a waterfall, not upward. For change to happen, leaders must be involved. While influence flows down, Transformation climbs up.” [Change Your World – Harper Collins Leadership]
Knowledge and ability are required to create lasting change and long-term results in each pillar or industry.
Filling this leadership gap means investing in the development of a new generation of leaders. Leaders that value people and add value to people. When you add value by helping people improve their lives, they rise up and pursue their potential.
When it comes to making a positive organizational change, change occurs only when someone takes responsibility for changing themselves and takes action to help others change.
A new generation of leadership values workplace civility, respect, and psychological safety – where the employees are encouraged to work in their strengths, contribute their thoughts, and highlight challenges without fear of backlash.
A new generation of leadership will focus on developing emotional intelligence and effective communication across all organizational levels.
Investing in the development of staff will increase the business owner’s influence and increase the quality and value of their business while simultaneously improving lives in all spheres of influence.
We’re here to help grow people into transformational leaders!
What is psychological safety?
Psychological safety is related to trust. But while trust involves giving your teammates the benefit of the doubt, psychological safety believes your team will provide you with the benefit of the doubt – that you won’t be resented or thought less of when you speak up or ask questions.
What boosts psychological safety? When team members show they are listening, are open to different points of view, and can disagree constructively mental safety increases.
What is emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence has several parts to it. The foundation is having a strong understanding and awareness of yourself, your strengths, weaknesses, a strong sense of confidence in who you are and how you’re hard-wired and how to wield those features for positive interactions with others.
